…and, life is short

You have to make the most of it.

When all else fails,

You have to make up for lost time.

Spend as much time as you can,

Doing stuff




My PCOS Lifestyle (When I Stick to it!!)

    Morning Start:

Mug full of half-lemon squeezed into boiling water.
Alternatively, start morning with a spoon full of apple cider vinegar.


Red Rose Orange Pekoe tea (be careful: caffeine!) *NO COFFEE.
*Add cinnamon and Earth’s Own unsweetened almond milk.

Oatmeal (5-minute oats, cooked in salted water.)
Or, 2 Eggs (Sometimes, with one slice of toast.)


Lemon water
Or, Astro plain yogourt with added trail mix/Joe’s Morning Blend Granola with dark chocolate chips
Or, peanuts (any nuts, except cashews, if you are able.)
Or, a Hot Rod meat stick


(small can of) Tuna in oil, over sliced tomatoes, (tomatoes are not for everyone),
and onions with dash of black pepper.
Drink: tall glass of lemon, cayenne pepper, maple syrup and water

Or, loaded up Salad.
Or, once in a blue moon, cabbage soup
Or, Sushi (My favorite is: California Roll)


Peppermint tea
Or, once in a blue moon, green tea


No food restrictions. No eating after 6:00pm.

    Exercises of choice:

Or, vigorous walking (sometimes running)
And, Winsor Pilates. Try to incorporate daily.

    Vitamins of Choice:

1. Jamieson Stress Ease
2. Vitamin D
3. Vitamin B-12
4. Iron

    Supplements of Choice:

1. Sometimes, Nature’s Bounty Cinnamon supplement
( to aid in regulating blood glucose levels by decreasing insulin resistance in the body)

2. Sometimes, Weber’s Naturals or Jamieson Acidophilus supplement
(for healthy digestion)

*Metformin prescription is a good way for me to maintain my weight (gain). I do not take it everyday.

*I try not to eat dairy products, except plain yogurt or cheese.
(Important to limit or eliminate altogether the consumption of cow’s milk.)

*I am not much of a fruit (prefer pineapple, nectarine/peach, green apple) or raw veggie eater.
I have nothing to add to this, except: to eat your fruit early in the day.

*Always limit sugar. No sugar is best!

***Disclaimer: This is my go-to routine to keep my PCOS symptoms in check. (Just sharing.)

Regarding EL James:

She worked in television for 25 years. At best, they (books) read  as a screenplay. I am not offended by her writing. In fact, she provides all aspects of her characters, settings and situations, in full detail… It allows for no imagination to be used. Perhaps, herein lies the problem; and, some readers’ apprehensions about this trilogy.

There is room for all of us artists, no matter how diverse our work.
